I love it when the sun shines, people are happy, natural beauty is rife and everybody gets healthier and fitter whilst enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. From balmy evening summer walks to sizzling Sunday’s at the beach; us girls really have to pull out all the stops to make our summer wardrobe sizzle, and this stunner of a maxi dress from Showpo does exactly that.

Here I am wearing a size UK8, with the cotton and polyester mix making the dress soft, smooth and stretchy which is incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. The dress is mini-skirt short at the front and lengthens out into a maxi dress at the back with a pretty front twist gathering under the bust. Thin black and white stripes are massively on trend this season with a nautical feel and timeless elegance. The plunging neckline is perfect for dressing up a cleavage for which I have gone braless, but if you’re not feeling as brave you could always go for a strapless bra, bralet or crop top in black to coordinate.
Here I have kept my look natural and casual for a glam daytime look with freshly washed hair, minimal makeup, a statement black leather and gold watch and a pair of Timberland ankle boots. This dress just screams oversized sunglasses and a large leather handbag for a lunchtime tipple, and to take it into the evening simply add a pair of wedge sandals or nude heels, a statement necklace and smokey eye makeup.
