Hands up if you love the 70s! Whilst it’s sadly not an era I’ve witnessed personally as I’m an 80s child, I still love the style and earthen classic colours, retro prints and overwhelming feeling of peace and love. It’s a style that scream casual, laid back and fun and this tan and orange combo from Atmosphere is a modern day tribute to a style and outlook that will never die.
Here I am wearing a tan tank top in a size UK6 priced at £5.00 and a bold orange floral print skirt in a skirt UK8 for just £4.00, that’s a whole outfit for under £10.00 with change left over for an ice cream – how about that! So let’s start with the tank top shall we, it’s made from 100% viscose and is beautifully soft and slinky to the touch. It’s high scoop neckline and heightened arm holes make it a rather unconventional cut, but isn’t it quirky!
I love how the loose fit tank top clings to my bust, which may because it’s a size smaller than I’d normally wear, but then skims off of my stomach and falls loosely to my hips. It’s almost like the love child of a wrestlers vest and and a camisole, with a delicate knit stitch finish and timeless trendiness. I’ve teamed my tank top with this stand out floral print skirt and I just have to say how much I’m loving the orange and monochrome combo going on here. I have an orange bathroom and it always makes me smile to see such a vibrant and uplifting colour.
The skirt is made from 96% viscose and 4% elastane making it cling in all of the right places without fear of it catching in the wind or rising up, it’s effectively a second skin of stretchy coverage. The loud print works wonderfully with the plain tank and my tan boots finish the look off a treat. Summer casual eat your heart out!
